Mercan Properties was honored by the presence of the representatives from Porto City Hall, Marriott International representatives, Investors, Agents, and the partners who developed Renaissance Porto Lapa Hotel, namely architects, engineers, interior designers, and construction managers.

The inauguration Ceremony took place on April 27th, attended by Jerry Morgan, Mercan Group CEO, who recognized the impact of this project in this area of the City of Porto, highlighting the quality of the rehabilitation of the area surrounding the hotel. Jordi Vilanova, President of Mercan Properties, acknowledged the commitment and dedication of all those who contributed to the creation and development of this hotel.

The inauguration ceremony also included speeches by distinguished guests such as the Canadian Ambassador to Portugal, Mrs. Élise Racicot, Senior Vice President of Marriott International, Timothy Walton, the President of Tourism Association of Porto and North, Luís Pedro Martins, and the representatives from Porto's City Hall, who emphasized the importance of Mercan Properties’ foreign investment in Portugal’s tourism sector.
