September is synonymous with new beginnings and renewals. With that in mind, Four Points Matosinhos, a hotel managed by AHM – Ace Hospitality Management, is unveiling a new menu for the Broadway’s Brunch, available every Sunday, this time crafted by the hotel’s new Executive Chef, André Carvalho.

It all begins at the bakery section, filled with a variety of breads, croissants, and brioches, served with Azorean butter, artisanal jams, and rosemary honey, with the pain au chocolat being one of the main novelties. Sweet-toothed guests can indulge in cheese and charcuterie boards, creamy scrambled eggs with garlic-sautéed mushrooms and parsley, Lamego’s traditional meat-stuffed bread (bola de enchidos), alheira croquettes with citrus mayonnaise, or rosemary focaccia with sun-dried tomato.

To escape the still-warm days, the salad section offers refreshing options such as a caprese with beefsteak tomatoes, bulgur tabbouleh with parsley, mint, tomato, and cucumber, or Mediterranean couscous with roasted vegetables. The new Broadway’s Brunch menu also includes the possibility of customizing some delicacies. In addition to the soup of the day (€5.00), there are toast options with toppings like sweet potato, avocado, smoked salmon, or chicken.

Eggs remain the stars of the brunch menu, with simple options such as a cheese and herb omelet (€7.30) or the classic eggs benedict (€9.00), alongside bolder choices like the “Matosinhos” omelet (€12.00), filled with sautéed shrimp, spinach, and caramelized onion, or the Royale egg (€13.00), cooked at 63º and served with sourdough bread, mixed greens, smoked salmon, and hollandaise sauce.

The dessert selection also brings tempting novelties to make you forget your diet. Freshly made pancakes now come with new toppings such as berries with crème fraîche, Nutella with banana and hazelnuts, or even a benedict-style version. Acai and granola bowls, sliced fruit, and mini pastéis de nata with cinnamon join more indulgent treats like moist chocolate cake or a brûléed lemon tart to finish the meal. Beverages range from classic coffee options and plant-based or lactose-free alternatives, to the juice of the day (€4.50), which may be orange, pineapple, or watermelon, as well as the classic mimosa (€6.00).

“I am deeply concerned with the ecological footprint of my kitchen, which is why I always prioritize seasonal ingredients. This new menu is, I believe, a happy blend between that seasonality and the contemporary flair that Broadway’s Brunch is known for, with traditional dishes, some more irreverent ones, and lighter choices so that everyone can find their favorites,” explains André Carvalho.

Broadway’s Brunch takes place every Sunday from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm. The price is €35.00 per person and includes, in addition to the buffet, a soup, a dish, a coffee beverage, and a soft drink or cocktail of choice. Children up to four years old are guests of the hotel, while those between five and 12 enjoy a 50% discount, plus access to the Kids Club, complete with a supervisor and plenty of activities for the little ones. Free parking is also available at the hotel’s lot.
