Celebrating the Grand Opening Ceremony of Moxy Alfragide Lisboa

The official inauguration of the Moxy Alfragide Lisbon took place on 29 September, following a €63 million investment.

Known for its modern and creative design, the Moxy brand brings a fresh approach to hospitality, and this opening marks Mercan Properties’ very first hotel in the Lisbon region. 

Naturally, such a milestone did not go unnoticed, with the Mayor of Amadora, Vítor Ferreira, joining the ceremony to celebrate this important step in a region that is rapidly emerging as one of Lisbon’s most dynamic business hubs.

The ceremony was hosted by Jordi Vilanova, President of Mercan Properties, together with Miguel Gomes, General Manager for Construction and Development. Daniel Flores, representing Marriott International, the hotel’s brand partner, also joined the event.

During his speech, Jordi Vilanova remarked: “Today we celebrate the opening of our first hotel in Lisbon, a testament to our commitment to promoting national tourism and, in particular, this vibrant region of the capital, which is becoming increasingly modern and dynamic.” 

The Moxy Alfragide Lisbon is Mercan Properties’ first hotel in Lisbon and the 15th inaugurated by the Group.
