Moxy Alfragide Lisboa Strengthens Coworking Focus With Wednesday-To-Friday Happy Hour

The new hotel in Amadora, Moxy Alfragide Lisboa, located at the entrance of Quinta Grande, is strengthening its focus on coworking with a happy hour service between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM. This new initiative, which aims to “further encourage the business community to come for a drink after work and even do some networking,” kicks off this Wednesday, the 22nd, and repeats every Thursday and Friday.

During this happy hour, all drinks will have a 50% discount, and a DJ will also be present to maintain “an atmosphere that stands out from the rest of the day.” In an interview with New in Amadora, the hotel’s director, André Ornelas, stated that “the balance of the first month and a bit has been excellent.”

“Every day we receive compliments about the décor, the color palette, and the hotel’s layout, especially the lobby. Many of those people ask us if they can come in and work, even if they’re not staying at the hotel.” The answer is “yes, of course.” “We want people to get used to coming to the hotel not just to stay overnight, but to live it and feel good here.”

The manager added that, in this first month, 70 percent of guests are business travelers, and 30 percent are leisure guests, which confirms the group’s expectations.

Moxy Alfragide Lisboa is the fourth property under the Marriott brand opened by Mercan Properties, and managed by AHM – Ace Hospitality Management. The opening took place on September 15, following a €63 million investment that created nearly 400 direct and indirect jobs.
