Home for art and creativity, Porto Arts Hotel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton offers a wide range of workshops throughout the year, and the last weeks of 2025 are no exception. This initiative is part of the collaboration with Associação Portuguesa Artes e Cultura.

From collage workshop to painting with wine and Christmas cards, there are a lot of options for art enthusiasts. And if you feel you lack an artistic vein, don’t worry, the aim is for you to learn and try.

Collage Workshop

Using natural elements, textiles, papers and cardboards, you’ll create unique artworks inspired by Porto’s deep connection to the Atlantic. Suitable for all ages, it’s a playful, hands-on experience that lets you explore creativity, meet other travelers and take home your own artistic memory of the city. This workshop will happen on November 21st, from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Urban Sketching

On November 28, discover Porto using photos of iconic city views, and create your own watercolor and pen artwork. Learn techniques for composition, line, and color in a fun, hands-on workshop. Open to all skill levels, it’s a relaxing and creative way to connect with the city, meet other travelers, and take home a unique artistic souvenir from your visit.

Painting With Wine

Enter the weekend with an afternoon where wine becomes paint. On December 12th, join this workshop of painting with wine, and create unique shapes. Amid laughter and delightful aromas, you discover how special it is to paint with something that is felt before it is seen. It’s an experience to savor slowly, like a fine wine and a cherished moment. Come paint autumn in the color of wine.

Paint at the Table

Come spend an afternoon drawing sweets full of flavor and tradition. Let's bring the famous Bolo Rei cake to life, with all its colors and fruits. Each stroke is a simple and happy moment, between pencils, conversation, and good cheer. A sweet workshop that fills the paper and the heart with the spirit of Christmas, perfect for those who want to create, relax, and celebrate this magical season with art and joy. Join us on December 20, from 2 pm to 4 pm.

Monotype on Tote Bags

Monotype of Porto Traditions on Tote Bags is a creative workshop where you will learn how to transfer patterns inspired by the city's symbols—tiles, sardines, custard tarts, trams, and other typical elements—onto tote bags using the monotype technique. A space to experiment, relax, and let your imagination run wild, creating a practical and artistic piece that you can take with you or give as an original gift. Available on December 20, from 4 pm to 6 pm.

Embroidering Words

In this workshop poetry takes shape through thread and needle. On December 21, we will explore poems by Fernando Pessoa, Florbela Espanca, and Lídia Lopes, learning simple embroidery techniques. Create a unique piece that combines words and images, without needing to bring materials or choose a poem. For all levels, from beginner to the most experienced, and take home your embroidered poetic work.

Christmas Cards

This Christmas Season don’t forget to create your own card. On December 21, you will learn how to draw, paint, and decorate your own postcards. Explore different artistic techniques to create unique pieces, full of color and Christmas spirit. A space to relax, experiment, and share the magic of Christmas with friends and family.
